Joe K has been a cornerstone of the Los Angeles yoga community for over 14 years, known for his grounded, intentional approach and ability to connect deeply with students. His yoga journey began with a 500-hour teacher training through Moksha Yoga in Brazil, after which he started teaching on Prince Edward Island, Canada.

 

In 2011, Joe moved to Los Angeles to teach full-time at Modo Yoga LA, quickly building a devoted following. By 2015, he had helped construct much of the Modo Yoga LA East studio, but soon felt called to carve his own path. In 2016, he founded Urban 728 Yoga, creating a space dedicated to connection, energy, and presence.

 

Over the course of his career, Joe has led over 10,000 classes — in studios, online, and in communities around the world — impacting more than one million practitioners with his unique blend of mindfulness, power, and purpose.
